The mayor Lorna Marquardt is working hand-in-hand with the local newspaper, the Shawano Leader, to intimidate, pressure, harrass and oppress individuals from other ethnic backgrounds. One of the victims of their racism is Dr. R. C. Samanta Roy, President and founder of SIST, a non-profit organization with a dream to build a world-class educational institute in northern Wisconsin near Shawano.
